Accuracy, cost, data handling, standards, and what to do when the AI gets it wrong. No marketing language below this line.
How accurate is the extraction?
Stage 1 (deterministic extraction) is ~99% accurate on text-based PDFs and DXF files with schedules. Stage 2 (AI classification) is ~92–95% accurate on first pass for NRM2 mapping, with every suggestion flagged by confidence level. Stage 3 (rules engine) is 100% deterministic — the math is always code.
What happens when the AI classifies something wrong?
You see it in the editor with a confidence flag. Click to reclassify — one click changes the section. Nothing is committed until you export.
Do you hallucinate quantities?
No. The AI never invents numbers. If a quantity is missing from the source, it stays missing and gets flagged. Arithmetic is always deterministic — qty × rate = amount runs in code, not a model.
What file types actually work well?
Text-based PDFs from CAD exports or estimating tools, DXF files with schedules or attributed blocks, and DWG files (converted to DXF first). Scanned PDFs, photos, and pure-geometry drawings aren’t supported yet.
Which standards do you support?
NRM2, POMI, CESMM4, SMM7. Regional variants on request — see the Standards page.
Can I use my firm's Excel template?
Yes — upload it once and we map our output to it on export. Your column layout, row groupings, and header styling are preserved.
Can I change the standard after extraction?
Yes. Reclassify runs in ~10 seconds. The deterministic blocks stay; only the classification layer re-runs.
Do you handle dayworks and preliminaries?
NRM2 Preliminaries (Section 1) and Dayworks are treated separately, matching the standard. Neither gets mixed into the main measured work sections.
What happens to my drawings?
Deleted after 24 hours unless you save to a project. Saved files stay in your account’s encrypted storage until you delete them.
Do you train models on my data?
No. Ever. Your drawings aren’t used for training, benchmarking, or anyone else’s output.
Where is data stored?
EU region (Supabase, Frankfurt). SOC 2 in progress.
Who can see my projects?
Only you and anyone you explicitly invite. No Finorly employee accesses project data except for an explicit support ticket you open.
Is there a free tier?
10 free BoQ extractions on signup. 10 free conversions/day on the Free Tools (no account needed).
How is pricing structured?
Pay-per-BoQ (~€1–€4 depending on drawing complexity). No monthly minimum. See the Pricing page for the full breakdown.
File size limits?
100MB per file for BoQ extraction. 25MB per file for the Free Tools.
Can I get a refund if extraction fails?
Yes. Failed extractions don’t consume credits. If a successful extraction is unusable, email us and we’ll credit it back.
