For quantity surveyors · PDF · DWG · DXF

Turn drawings into a structured BoQ—in minutes, with you in control.

Upload a PDF, DWG, or DXF. Finorly reads it, builds the BoQ under the standard you pick, flags anything that needs a second look, and hands you an editable document. We do the majority of the work. You have the final say.

How the work is split

We do the majority of the work. You have the final say.

Generating a BoQ from a drawing involves two kinds of work: the mechanical part — reading the file, identifying elements, building the structure under the right standard — and the judgement part, where a surveyor decides what’s right for this project and this client.

Finorly takes the mechanical part off your plate. We flag the lines that need a second look, suggest improvements where the drawing is ambiguous, and hand you an editable BoQ ready for review, adjustment, and export.

Minutes of AI. Then the review only you can do.
01 · FLAGGED

Incomplete info is marked, not hidden.

When the drawing is ambiguous or data is missing, the line is flagged with a suggestion. You review and decide — nothing is quietly filled in.

02 · STRUCTURED

Aligned to the standard you pick.

Choose NRM2, POMI, CESMM4, or SMM7 when you start. The output hierarchy and descriptions match what your client expects.

03 · CONTROLLED

You stay the author.

Edit, split, merge, adjust quantities, rewrite descriptions. The BoQ that leaves your hand is a document you finalised.

The workflow, in detail

Three steps. You control every one of them.

Click a step to expand. Each one is a tab — no hidden steps, no surprise behaviour.

STEP 01 · UPLOAD

Pick your standard before anything is counted.

Drop a PDF, DWG or DXF. Pick NRM2, POMI, CESMM4 or SMM7. Scale is detected — you confirm it. Estimated credit cost is shown before a single credit is spent.

The hard questions

The questions a QS actually asks.

More on the full FAQ page.

What happens when the extraction is wrong?+
Ambiguous or incomplete lines are flagged with a suggestion. You review them first, accept, rewrite, or reject. The BoQ editor is free — if you'd rather fix it manually or start from scratch, you can, at no credit cost.
Do I pay to build a BoQ by hand?+
No. The manual BoQ editor is free and unlimited on every plan. Credits are only consumed when you upload a drawing and let Finorly generate the structure for you.
Will it replace my takeoff software?+
Not always. Finorly is strongest for structured BoQ generation. For pure measurement-led workflows you may keep PlanSwift or Bluebeam alongside it.
Which standards are supported?+
NRM2, POMI, CESMM4, and SMM7 at launch. Output hierarchy and descriptions conform to the selected standard.
What happens to my drawings?+
Stored encrypted, in your workspace only. Not used to train models. Deletable at any time.
Why credits instead of a flat subscription?+
Most users don't run files every day. Credits let a quiet month cost less and a busy month cost what it should — without buying a seat-based licence you won't use.
